What we do

  • A confidential emergency register

Your details are kept on a confidential database at the police station and shared only with Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade in an emergency.

  • Calls and visits

Our volunteers can phone you for regular check-ins, and our volunteer drivers visit members to see how they are going.

  • Your free ID card

Every member receives a blue card to carry with them. In an emergency, it tells responders that your contact, doctor and other details are held by the Register.

Free for seniors in our area

The Register is free of charge for senior citizens living in Portsea, Sorrento, Blairgowrie, Rye, Rosebud, McCrae, Dromana, Safety Beach, Red Hill, Shoreham, Flinders and Cape Schanck.

We keep in touch with around 2,000 older people across the Southern Peninsula through newsletters, phone calls and home visits.
